STRBramley
Hi All, My exhaust snapped today so I'm looking to get the back box replaced. I assume this is what I need to do? I've found this on eBay. Can anyone recommend this and if not what would be better? Would it fit to the existing down pipe?
ZEUS
Japspeed are at the cheaper end of the market and can have fitting issues but I've had one fitted for a few years with no problems.
SHEZZA
I had a japspeed like that and as ZEUS has said there can be fitment issues. I ended up with a poor fitting one, put up with it for awhile but got rid in the end. Depending on your budget next step up would be a cobra or a scorpion Between £450/£500. Though with that you get the centre pipe aswell, so a y pipe back system. I see your in Nottingham so it's worth sending Mitz@cougarstore a PM Edited July 5, 2015 by SHEZZA
STRBramley
I've found this which seems like a good option as it won't affect the sound of the car. Plus it has a flexi pipe so it won't snap again.
SHEZZA
I wouldn't bother with that, just get your own repaired. Edited July 5, 2015 by SHEZZA
ZEUS
Yeah same as SHEZZA I really wouldn't waste money on that hash up.

ZEUS
Yes weld a sleeve onto it.
SHEZZA
Yes weld it up or cut both flanges off and fit a sleeve. Something like this. http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&alt=web&id=261340162258&globalID=EBAY-GB Not sure on what size you'd need though, there's a few sizes. STRBramley
Thanks for the link. Does anyone know what inch sleeve I'm going to need?
STRBramley
I've been looking at the size is stated as 2.25", 2.36" and 2.5" in various places. Does anyone know the correct size? I think I need this but can anyone confirm? I changed my mind and order this. I hope it's right Edited July 6, 2015 by STRBramley
