Kentar0
Stupid question coming up then, I get confused with the whole engine codes and years..! Is my 2010 370z affected by this ?
blobbish
This thread makes interesting reading. I'm from the UK and spoke to an independent 370z specialist who said he'd heard of this problem but hadn't actually done anyone's car. Anyway he's fitting my SC so I recon if I'm going to do it best to do it then to save some labour. Car is a 2010 black edition. Vinny73
Hi all New to the forum and just discovered this thread - I was / am on the cusp of a 370z, 2011, 29k miles, manual - This sort of thread would put me off buying as really don't want a car with what sounds to be like an almost guranteed failure and costly rebuild, nor one where the first thing I have to do is this job... so does this affect 2011 models onwards please? I was put off Cayman Gen 1's due to bore scoring affecting most higher mile cars (inevitably) and even lower mile driven hard previously cars. So the 370z was an alternative, now reading this... :-/ Cheers Vin

Vinny73
Hi Nissanman Thanks for the quick response there! Ok, anyway of finding out if that was def the case on all 2011's? It's a 11 plate, so early 2011... Also, if I went for it, what are they like to drive and own as a car? It would be used 1-2 times per week as I train to work, but weekend 100mile round trip and the odd mid-week run too. I do need reliable ;-) but fun

I am going to get mine looked at on the next service. With the oil issues seen on my 350 I don't want problems here too! I'm also investigating fitting an oil pressure gauge in place of the stock digital clock in the left hand pod. The sat nav tells you the time anyway
Vinny73
What exhaust opens up the sound and volume? I was already considering that as an upgrade, along with some 20" judd type allows and lowering it ~1"... thoughts?

blobbish
So the car is part way through the SC fitting and I asked the tuner to change the gaskets. Good job too as there started to break. Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk
Vinny73
How much of a risk is this on lower mile 2010 370Z's? There are a few <25k milers in very nice condition available.

Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk Thanks Asked the question which I think you won't like. Cost of the gaskets £48 + roughly 6 hours labour. This is not something you just want to do unless your prepared. Glad I've changed mine though. Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk

JediBitch
Hi guys, I've just picked up my new 2009 370z last night and it's permanently in limp mode due to the oil temp being stuck on 150 Celsius. During the test drive it was fine, but once it got up to temp on the way home the oil temp just went to 150c and stayed there. Is it possible my car has this issue? Any thoughts would be appreciated, after buying the car i'm left with little funds to actually fix the thing. I doubt the garage didnt know about this unless they've only ever driven with the motor cold. I have a 3 month engine and gearbox only warranty with it, will this be covered? I plan on calling them shortly when they open. Thanks for any suggestions! Tarl
Richf
My first step would be returning it to the dealer
PMX
Hi Tarl I collected my 370z 6 weeks ago & it had exactly the same problems as soon as I drove it out of the garage, limp mode kicking in, erratic oil temp gauge, etc. I took it back to the garage I had bought it from & they took it to the local Nissan dealer. I collected a few days later & they said that the oil temperature sensor had to be replaced & all was now fine. The car has been perfect since! JediBitch
I spoke to the garage and they are picking it up for me in the next few days to fix. So i'm happy with that at least! Bit disappointing that my new toy doesn't work but fingers crossed it will soon
