ZedManTID
Have you a pic of them fully fitted and working also been looking at these from the same supplier http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/360420426401 I can vouch for these lights. I've had my set 2 years and they are still going strong and look awesome. Good quality and fitment and much brighter than standard! Uk cars are all 8 pin so the wiring will need some adapting but that's easy enough, JDM cars are plug and play as they are all 6 pin like these lights. Best pics i have are below. If you want better I'll take some good snaps tomorrow showing the halos etc. Let me know 2 years ago Today Edited July 11, 2015 by ZedManTID
BulletMagnet
They depo ones aswell stateside also Mine are chinese ebay ones They are 8 pin lights whereas the UK lights are 6 pin so they take a bit of modifying to fit but its nothing major UKDM are 8 pin, all Xenon are. Wong way wound then Corrected that for you Ian

Yes mate mine is a JDM and I fitted them myself in well under an hour. Is yours a UK model?
gort
yes it's a 2004 UK car, so that would involve modifying the wiring I guess, do you need to add a ballast? Edited July 12, 2015 by gort
ZedManTID
Everything you need should come with the lights mate. Ballasts, bulbs etc. The only thing you'll need to do is swap the 6 pin plug with the 8 pin from your current lights. The additional wires going into the 8 pin uk plug, if I remember correctly, are for the headlamp washers Edited July 12, 2015 by ZedManTID

ChrisB
Must say that these look great Rather tempted to get a pair myself - my OEM lenses are pretty tired. I drive round cursing BMWs with their angel eyes on, whilst secretly thinking they are actually quite cool (jealousy incarnate)

Gives any car a bit more character imo. Do it....

Masa
Are the DRL's and Halos wired to the sidelights or are they always on? Thinking about getting a set as they look fantastic; if anyone can confirm whether or not the headlight washers will work I would be very grateful, IIRC the JDM's don't have headlight washers because they don't have HID's and so don't need them so it may just be a case of some funky wiring work around; anyone got these headlights on their UKDM spec with HID's? Masa
Then I'm stumped; HIDs without washers is illegal though...? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
StevoD
i believe its legal due to it being standard in its country of origin or it was made before the Law was changed Edited July 14, 2015 by StevoD
Masa
Ahh yeah that makes sense; I love the look of these but every paid I come across say they don't work with the HID models Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
ZedManTID
Same, my JDM had HIDs and no washers when I got it but i went for the preinstalled setup offered by the seller and removed the OEM ballasts. The Halos and DRLs work off the sidelights but you can always rewire to a seperate switch Edited July 14, 2015 by ZedManTID
KyleR
UK MOT regulations state that 'where fitted, headlight washers must work' none fitted, don't need them As for the other 2 pins, I believe they are for the auto headlight levelling that is another requirement for having Xenon lights.
ZedManTID
Thanks for the input KyleR. Now you mention the auto levelling its all coming back to me! They are not for the washers Sorry guys!! Edited July 14, 2015 by ZedManTID
