SHEZZA
Hi guys I'll soon be getting my wheels refurbed and whilst they are being done I'm having new tyres fitted. The old ones still have life in them though the edges of the the tyres mainly the outside are starting to perish, due to tyre gel I think. Just wondered if they were worth keeping to sell on as part worns or just get rid and save any hassle.
AliveBoy
No tyres. Run on rims. Like uber low profile but hardcore! The minimum amount of tyre levers being scraped on your lovely refurbished wheels possible is probably best. I'd replace and bin the old ones if they're perished. Oh and stop using tyre dressing with silicone in it! Edited June 2, 2015 by AliveBoy
SHEZZA
Exactly that's why I'm having new tyres at the same time as having the wheels refurbed mate.

ianphampton
Go to Santa Pod on a DWYB day and just burn them off. Just make sure you stop before they go to ribbons so you don't damage the wheels (or your wheel arches)
