daveallen1999
Hi, I have just brought some Eibach Spacers for my 350Z, 20mm front and 25mm for rear tyres. I plan to match them up with my standard ray alloys with Toyo R888s. The question I need to ask is there any danger in using the spacers. Are the spacers strong enough to put up with the forces the wheels will encounter on a track day ? Could I have some advice on this please. ZMANALEX
Genuine Eibach spacers will be fine providing they are fitted properly, however they do place extra load on other components and some say that they effect handling. I run Eibach 20/25 on my TT 350 but not on the R35. Both cars used on track. Hope this input helps. Alex. alexwitham
Alex, do you think handling is effected fitting the spacers?
ZMANALEX
Alex, do you think handling is effected fitting the spacers? I personally have no handling issues with 20/25 spacers running wets, intermediates or slicks. Alex.
GT4 Zed
+1 with Alex. Good quality spacers eg eibach fitted properly are safe but I would go past 25mm and it should improve your handling(lateral stability) by increasing your track width in general but you need to know what you are doing if you want to tune the car with spacers. E.g I was suffering bad under steer and lack of front end grip in the wet but increasing my front track with spacer was the only thing that made the biggest difference after playing with softer setting on damper and ARB and geometry.
