upgrading headlights

Hi all. For those of you that may have. Or those that know. I want to improve the brightness of my headlights on my 04 GT. is this a simple upgrade or a nightmare? Can it be done?

If so what to buy bulb wise and guide?

Cheers

You could try the usual and adjust the beam a bit higher.

If that is not enough, switch out the bulbs for something like 5000K bulbs, I think the OEM brightness is 4300K.

You can either access the bulbs via wheelarchliner or remove the bumper and remove headlights completely

In terms of the headlight casing, you can always clean that up really well with toothpaste... should help a bit, but as for the bulb I am not so sure!

done this but cheers for suggestion.

Buy new 4300k D2r bulbs, yours may be dying a little. The kelvin (K) of the bulb is just the colour, 4300k is OEM in most cars and considered the best for visibility, 6000K is a nice white with a touch of blue but you'll lose some light.

I'm going to try these later in the year:

States 50% increase in the spec (the 6000k are only 20% over stock).

I bought these previously which look nicer, better than the cheap ebay ones I had but not as strong as I want:
