To Wrap or not to Wrap

Dear all.

Have seen some fantastic Zeds on here that have had full colour change wraps but also heard people advise against it.

Just wondered what the views were on this forum. Any good or bad experiences ?

Look forward to all comments.

Got mine wrapped - It aint paint!!!!

But then it doesn't cost as much, Depends what you want and if you want it to be removable.

I'm happy(ish) with mine but I got it at a very good price - just be aware that it is not going to be as good as a respray.

Didn't realise wraps were so expensive. To me they seem like a strictly temporary solution, as I can't imagine it's easy to sell a wrapped car (I know I wouldn't).

Edit: wouldn't want to buy one!

Paul at pwpro wrapped mine, it cost £1500 two years ago and while he did a good job, wrapping will never be perfect, and it chips the same as paint. He does a lot of gtr's etc.

I would never pay £3k for a wrap !!!

I like the concept and if you have a car thats of high value, I.e a 370 like Keyser, Paralello, or a Gtr for example, thats probably going to devalue it by spraying it a bold colour it makes sense. I think I would struggle to pay £1500 plus for something temporary on a car only worth a few grand though.

I would also have an irrational thought, whats the wrap hiding, on an older car if i was looking to buy, unless of course its a colour you just cant get with paint.

Plus it will keep the paintwork nice and clean if you have just gone out and bought a brand new GTR so would be more desirable on resale...

There's a company called wrapcube near london, I follow them on facebook (https://www.facebook.com/WrapCube?fref=ts) because their work is so amazing. I've seen one of their wraps in the flesh and you'd genuinely not know it was a wrap. They take the doors off so they can do the shuts in one piece etc. I imagine they're crazy money, but they're perfect!

found some pics
