RafsZed
Toyota and Nissan are to recall 6.5 million cars worldwide to check airbags which have been linked to five deaths. I wonder if this recall will include the 350Z. Cars affected were built between 2003 and 2007.
glrnet
Only 1.5 m of these are Nissans, if you have an airbag made by Takata then you could be affected. Sent from my Zed using Nangkang tyres front, RE040's rear
Ekona
Unlikely, I think. Out of 6.5M vehicles affected worldwide, 5M are Toyota and 1.5M Nissan. It only affects 25K Toyotas in the UK, so extrapolating roughly that leaves about 8K Nissans over the entire range. Edit, beaten by Graham. Sargara
Is there some kind of online lookup we can check to see if we are affected or not? Just for peace of mind really.

Shenley
This is one place to look for recalls:- http://www.dft.gov.uk/vosa/apps/recalls/ Note the 350z is not on the drop down list - because it's never had a ' SAFETY RECALL'.

mouthwash
No idea! Tbh I wouldn't even give this a second thought. By the time you get the point where you realise yours was probably on the recall list, you won't be worrying about it... Or anything else for that matter. Ekona
That's what you get when you extrapolate!
Sargara
Right.... so we have to rely on the incompetence of both the DVLA and RoyalMail to hope we are notified... Am i the only one who thinks this is insane!? Why cant Nissan just publish a ****ing list of whats affected and we can check for ourselves? JurassicZ
I guess a quick call to your local Nissan stealer may provide an answer.
Ekona
Really guys, I wouldn't lose any sleep over this at all. Your airbag is probably over ten years old now, if it hasn't broken yet then it's probably not going to.
