Husky
Just finished Unravel. It's just a simple, puzzle solving platform game with swinging mechanics at heart, but what a beautiful, heartbreaking little game it is. The backdrops are gorgeous and the little wool character has such a depth of expression, you really feel for the little guy as he spools out yarn, collecting the memories and photographs of a family's life from childhood to the end of the reel. A little clumsy and frustrating at times, but ultimately if you push beyond that it's well worth a few quid if you like games without cars or guns. That sounds really good, will go take a look
ZedManTID
Finished Far Cry Primal over the weekend. On a top end PC the game is just incredible. Best 1st person I've played for some time
RavenDW
I'm 3 trophies from getting the Platinum in Bloodborne. I've taken a bit of a break and been playing A Link Between Worlds on my 3DS, but I'll be back to finish up Bloodborne soon. EVENTUALLY I'll get Dark Souls 3 but I've got such a backlog its unreal. HaydnH
EVENTUALLY I'll get Dark Souls 3 but I've got such a backlog its unreal. I'm playing it now, usually I play the deprived class which has no starting stats, it makes the start a bit harder but you can usually farm some starting enemies and level up before hitting the first boss. In DS3 there's a boss immediately, no way to avoid it... yes you can beat him as deprived but I'm not going to bother as it's too much effort. Fodder
Just watched the trailer for Battlefield 1, this could be absolutely awesome if they get it right. Edit: trumping to video to work Edited May 7, 2016 by Fodder
Husky
As much as it looks cool, I do love BF very much, I swore I'd never play another EA game and I'm sticking to it. If I could put aside £300 for me and the mrs for ONE game, then sure... But £300 is just wayy too much imo. Where am I getting the £300 from? £150 each me and the mrs. Using BF4 as an example: Original game was what £35 I think Then China rising DLC £15 And Second Assault DLC £15 After that Naval Strike DLC £15 Oh and Dragon's Teeth DLC £15 Don't forget Final Stand DLC £15 Gotta remember through all of this there's premium to pay for to get to play the specialist events, customise stuff and actually make the DLC cheaper. Premium £40 (I actually think it was a lot more than that, nearer 80, but that's it's current price without being on offer) "Oh but that DLC takes a while to come out so it's not all at once..." you say. Depends on how long you think it's ok before you tip your wallet out again. BF4 DLC release: Game = Nov 2013 DLC = Dec 2013 DLC = Feb 2014 DLC = Mar 2014 DLC = July 2014 DLC = Dec 2014 This was 3 years ago, and EA have shown no sign of letting up on pumping people for cash with increasingly poorly delivered, rushed and buggy games. This is what EA does and they have a long history of it. So they can take their new game and shove it up their greedy little c***s. However, if you got in with your eyes wide open to the fact that this game will cost you a stupid amount of money, all given to a @*!# show of a company, then by all means. GMballistic
^^ You know you don't necessarily have to buy the DLC's Husky. I do agree with you it's a f***ing rip off nowadays. I remember the days when you bought a game and that was that, ...if you wanted extra content or better weapons etc to that game then you'd find a cheat code or unlock code but that was about as far as you could go. Husky
^^ You know you don't necessarily have to buy the DLC's Husky. If only that were true. I bought BF4 for me, mrs and my dad so we could play it for a month over xmas. We were happily playing along and then, only a short few weeks after release, the first DLC rolls around. We decide that seeing as it'll be x3 cost we'd just leave it and carry on with the basic game. But what's this, the map rotations on all the servers now include the DLC, and now we are all being kicked from the server each time a DLC map is rotated to... So you join another server only to be half way through a match and then boom, map switch to DLC again and we are out. We gave in and bought China rising to continue playing which of course only lasted until Feb when the next DLC came in and we were back to being kicked again. Nooope, no more for me, my dad kept going though as he's retried and spending a ton of time on it, but even he gave in with the DLC eventually. The TL;DR: They make it crap to NOT buy the DLC. Ekona
Bobbins. I've never bought the DLC for BF4 and have never had an issue with being kicked from a server. Granted, it's not a game I stick with for ages because I'm crap at it, but I was definitely playing it after at least two DLC releases. What format were you on? Husky
PC, but as I say that was directly after the DLC release, it became impossible to find a server without them as everyone jumped on the new maps.
Ekona
Should've been on the consoles then, no issues here Surely with the PC it's easier to find a server running the maps you want?
GMballistic
I'm on a PS4 nowadays and I haven't bought any DLC for my games since "COD: Modern Warfare 2" on my old PS3. I do get though how being kicked from games because you don't have the right maps would be a PITA.
Husky
In all seriousness, I really can't go back to consoles now. Controls are lazy and inaccurate, graphics are sub par, can't alt tab whenever you feel like it, can't upgrade it, have barely any access to indie games, etc. Gaming is my #1 hobby, console would be fine if I only played once in a while but for me PC is the way to go.
Husky
Surely with the PC it's easier to find a server running the maps you want? There were so few of them as the majority of the servers went to new maps. With so few servers running the vanilla game it became impossible to find one running a sensible ruleset and not be full.
Fodder
I post a trailer, sleep for a few hours and I wake up to this I'm with you on the pricing thought husky, I'm on Xbox one and did buy the game for around £40 on release however I only bought the season pass after the general release of the last DLC pack. I think the pass cost in the region of £20 via "offers with gold" (would have to verify) so wasn't too bad however I obviously didn't play it much afterwards; I'm guessing something more interesting caught my magpie like eye Anyway, haven't seriously played any shooters on the PC since the original MOH Allied Assault was out - I was asked to join a clan for that game. Ekona
It's all about Soldier of Fortune 2 for me. I was unstoppable at that. Crap at every other FPS ever, mind
Grundy
Overwatch open beta weekend. Game is epic! Awesome new FPS, unlike any other kind Although, might be one of those after two weeks of playing, I'd get bored unless they added a competitive element such as ranked.

Grundy
I couldn't find that for download when I looked. Still got 2 days. http://eu.battle.net/en/ Download the client, it's like Steam. But only hosts Blizzard games.

Husky
I was on the Dirty Bomb wagon for a while and got pretty good. But the wagon seemed to lose steam, so meh. I may jump on over watch but the graphics really don't interest me whatsoever.
BulletMagnet
Husky, wasnt there a season pass available for BF4? Would have saved shelling out for DLC all the time
Husky
Maybe it came out after the first DLC? Not sure but it still makes me hate them. The fact that buying the game then comes with the requirement of a season pass to avoid paying full price for DLC that hasn't even come out yet... ugh.

Also the we COD infinite ware fare comes bundled with modern warfare remastered for ~£90!!! So those that really enjoyed that game have to shell out on another that they aren't really interested in (me included) and would be willing to buy the game as a stand alone at a reasonable price!
