p34nut
It seems my money must have been good enough, I drove this home today I shall leave things there now. The main point of this topic was to highlight "MY" experience at tradelink. People are individuals and free to make up their own mind Edited May 5, 2015 by p34nut

Jmanji
There is an old saying you can please some of the people some of the time but not all of the people all of the time. I feel sorry for Greg at trade link as this type of slagging off could put future customers off visiting him when in fact he is just a regular guy running a specialised car business, I think the op before posting this rant should have at the very least either called up trade link to discuss his disappointment with Greg or approached him personally before leaving the showroom as I'm sure Greg would have sorted out the issue there and then. In my opinion it's a bit of a cowardly act to type all this silly stuff that supposedly happened which if it even did was from one op's view which seems to have been exaggerated by any standard. I have met Greg at his open day and found him approachable and friendly, Reviews online can be a good thing but I do think people lie and abuse them trying to discredit businesses which can be very damaging and painful to the owners of the business especially smaller businesses. If you know what I am on about you will also note sites like yelp love to promote bad feedback and hide all the good feedback why is this? coldel
I guess the reverse applies then? People that come onto this forum and rave about a trader after having been sent a car part, in some packaging, on time - which is hardly above and beyond and worth the postive review, we see it all the time on here. From what I saw, the OP had a bad experience, by whatever means, whats relevant is that it was in his opinion that bad that he felt the need to post something up. He had a bit of a rant but also tried to scope it out in a somewhat structured way - as a business you are always going to have people complain (as you rightly pointed out Jmanji) it was a great opportunity (in my humble opinion) for TL to be the bigger man, explain what happened from their perspective in a rational and calm manner and simply put an end to it but it only seemed to divide opinion and annoy the OP even more - but thats my opinion and its not my business so my view is pretty much irrelevant (as are most of our views on this thread!), Greg has chosen to deal with this in his way.

I bought a product from a trader on here and contacted him directly and probably as peanut decided, I already knew I would be pi$$ing into the wind by following that course of action. The trader accepted no responsibility at all, the kicker for me, he hadnt seen the product, it was sent direct from his supplier, how anyone can catergorically defend a product they havent seen is beyond me.
