ts743
Just trying to get to work and both keys appear to have dead batteries now (should have sorted the spare sooner!) and unlocking it with the key sounds the alarm. Can I just go and shove a new battery in or will they require coding? Need advise asap as I need to sort right away and try and get into work Thanks all
HEADPHONES
When my battery failed, when I turned the key the alarm went off and car still started.
WINKJ
Can't you use the key to get in and start the car up? Surly this disables the alarm
ts743
Can't you use the key to get in and start the car up? Surly this disables the alarm I can, but had so many cars that then start the alarm again when you're mid journey, with the hazards on etc - played it safe! For reference, I replaced batteries in both fobs and they worked with no programming.
inspiral
Key doesn't disable the alarm, at least on mine it doesn't You might find you have a broken micro switch in the key fob rather than the battery. A common fail, ebay has cheap replacements if you've a got a soldering iron.
