V1H
wow, how did the torque curve become so flat with the SC? I had imagined low end torque to be lower, linearly building up. Awesome tune!
Adrian@TORQEN
Stollen from a GTR forum: ======= The SAE gross power aka brake horse power (bhp) is measured with simulated load by adding belt-driven accessories etc.; however, it left a lot of wiggle room for interpretatkion (if you have time, have a read HERE). That measure is no longer used in America as of 1971-72. One of the newer measures is SAE net power (hp) which is measured at the engine's crankshaft with stock accessories so is a truer measure of engine power itself. Neither measure accounts for transmission loss. (Reference WIKIPEDIA). Theoretically, using same stock accessories, bhp=hp. Typically only manufacturers take the engine out to measure directly at the flywheel with an engine dyno. That shop is using a Maha chassis dyno to measure the whp by spinning the wheels. Sounds like they calculate upwards from whp to arrive at their estimated engine bhp of 392. The whp is almost always less than hp because of frictional losses between engine and wheels. Some European manufacturers prefer to quote using bhp (over SAE net power) to indicate a more conservative number by using accessories that make it simulate transmission loss as well; that is why some German cars may dyno a whp number at the wheels close to their engine bhp. However, regardless of bhp or hp, whp is whp on same dyno same day. If your GT-R is making 550 awhp, your flywheel hp would almost certainly be higher than 550 meaning your Audi may need more than 150 engine hp to arrive at 550 whp. Also keep in mind awhp isn't the same as rwhp, depending on the car and how it's measured. Some chassis dynos do measure four wheels (awhp) while others measure two wheels (rwhp) and the equivalent conversion from either awhp-to rwhp or vice versa is calculated (i.e it wasn't actually measured). As others have mentioned, a 550 whp measure for one car on different dyno and different day is not necessarily an apples to apples comparison. On top of that, even if you manage to get your Audi to measure 550 awhp on same dyno same day as your other car by adding say 180 awhp (550 awhp - say 370 awhp), the different cars deliver the power differently so 1/4 mile ET/MPH may still differ. In the end, track time is still the best overall measure for car performance. ======== Edited September 27, 2015 by octet@TORQEN

Awesome tune! I took a friend out in it yesterday and he couldn't believe the smooth power delivery right through the Rev range Low down torque is excellent It's a good job I have the Torqen bbk brakes!! Jonnymonno
Ya really looking forward to seeing this at the ace cafe meet. Where did you get your blacked out lights from Jonny ? Taras and his gang at RT Performance did them for me. The Halo's I supplied. Morimoto 90mm superb quality from USA they are the drl's well worth the wait (and cost) Indicator bulbs are silver coated to stop the fried egg look and the sidelight bulbs are the higher wattage led's The main part of the light body is Matt black The pods gloss black
taras
I'm very pleased with the transformation! 😎 turned out to be a biggish project with lots of small details to work through... ABS bumper getting test-fitted. Unlike fibreglass parts, these are very tricky to work with. Silly split corners had to be fixed and smoothed over. Nothing beats smooth body shapes 😊 And the prepping begins.. Boot receives needed welding and prep.. Body gets primered and rubbed down. Front bumper we had to spray with liquid filler too, just to even things out 😊 Now into the booth and mask it up! Just look at that! When we sprayed the roof black, boot lid was moved backwards to access a joining point between the two colours. Necessary for decent masking up.. Then it was a turn for the bumpers and other small bits And extensive polishing begins.. Time to crack on with headlights conversion! Final checks And here she is 😊
Jonnymonno
Thanks Taras, The time, effort and attention to detail only touches the surface in these pictures of the work you and your team have carried out with a totally faultless job and thanks again, I'm over the moon with the results Highly recommended to anyone wanting top professional body and spray work
Adrian@TORQEN
Worth mentioning the dream team, too Darren, Mike and myself, fitting all the amazing parts on the car: SPL arms, Stillen SC and supporting mods, Eibach ARBs, TORQEN R coilovers, TORQEN Monster BBK etc
Jonnymonno
Typical Adrian, you haven't read this thread properly already thanking the Torqen team and the results speak for themselves and the car performs faultlessly so an even bigger thank you The only thing i have to remember is to not put anything on the passenger seat as when i brake the stopping power of the big brake kit throws everything into the passenger foot well
V1H
I noticed your orbs/angel eyes are quite a bit brighter than my ONEighty orbs. Whereas mine are made of seventy or so 1210 SMD LEDs, your orbs appear one solid ring.Yours also got a nice blue hue to it whereas mine are 5000K white. If I did it all over again I'd probably pick your Morimotos. Have you got a link for them?

I was well impressed with the quality of the Halo's when they eventually turned up even though pricey (over £80.00 with import duty) I could see they were far superior than the original £12.00 ones i purchased from ebay I will sort you the link Cheers John
Jonnymonno
http://www.theretrofitsource.com/led-lighting/morimoto-xsb-led-switchback-halos.html#.VgpagflVhBc There you go, just click on the 90mm size for our headlamps Morimoto XSB 90mm
V1H
That's a good price. Mine were more like £100. Would be cool to have the Morimoto switchback orbs to have DRL and amber turn indicator in one halo
Jonnymonno
I could still add that i suppose just by changing the wiring but dropping on the silver indicator bulbs to take the yellow out of the headlight i never bothered If you do order them dont add priority mail as they just get held up at customs anyway
