Mattle40
Daft question time. Should the boot struts open the boot unassisted at the press of the boot button? My struts hold the boot 95% of the time so I'm not bothered for replacing them really unless it's a noticeable improvement I.e the boot pops up on its own. Lol thanks guys
GMballistic
When you press the boot release button the boot should pop open an inch or two allowing you to then open it up using your hand with the boot struts then taking over from you and lifting the boot up the remaining way & holding it open. If the boot lid is dropping & not able to stay up then you need new boot struts (could try removing the boot weight first though to see if that helps cure the problem). Penny trick link: http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/35706-the-penny-trick/ New boot poppers: http://www.clarkmotorsport.co.uk/parts/Boot-Spring-Lift/84415-CD71A Hope that helps.
