dannybz
Okay so i just checked oil, has sat for over an hour, took out dipstick first time and looked like a healthy amount of oil on the dipstick, wiped away then dipped in for another reading, took out and the stick looked a little sparse a few blotches up and down the stick and a bit on the bottom of the stick? eh? Ekona
Keep going. On any car I'll often do between 5-10 dips to get an average.
ph 7
And you can pick up a lot of oil as you drag it in and out due to the wonderful design, which can skew your thoughts
ZMANALEX
And your point is ? Let it sit over night on a level surface and dip from cold.

I did around 5 dips, after the first it was all sparse and slight bits of oil spolged in a few places. Confused.com

ZMANALEX
From cold, always best to dip a few times to get an accurate reading. Remember and wipe your dip stick every time you withdraw.

jimboy2
If your really worries would it not be a good idea to do a full oil change? For peace of mind. At lease then you know how much has gone in
Rock_Steady
sometimes the tip might slide against the inside of the tube, thus getting a duff reading. Just keep doing it until it becomes consistent.
