SiriusProjects
Hi Guys, Just a quick question. I think the battery may be failing in my ignition key as I have to press to unlock 4/5 times before it does unlock. Is it as simple as just swapping the battery or do I also need to do some reset/reconfigure procedure after? Thanks.
grumpyoldjanner
Swapped the battery over in my key and didn't have any problems :-)
baggedZ
Cant see you having any issues swapping the battery over. I'd hazard a guess that everything will be fine as long as you don't leave the battery out for a prolonged time, as that may reset it? cs2000
Just swap it over. As long as you do it within a few mins its all good and wont need reprogramming.
SiriusProjects
I know it's just changing a battery and that should be simple enough. But experience has taught me to never take anything for granted. Thanks for the tips.
KosmiK
Anyone know what battery it takes? Mines been temperamental recently, so could probably do with being swapped.
SiriusProjects
Found another thread on here saying that the battery required is a CR1620. I haven't checked mine yet, but I am assuming that they are all probably the same.
