SiriusProjects
Hi All, Was thinking of spray painting the plastic engine cover and battery/brake fluid covers. Just wonder if anyone has done this and what preparation needs to be done. With regards to the plastic engine cover, can I use ordinary spray paint and lacquer on it or do I need specific types since it's an area that gets hot? Thanks. burgs
HR or DE? You will probably be better using vht paint on the engine cover.

Lyndzzz
You don't need vht as the cover doesn't get that hot. There's loads on here who have done it, myself included it's in my build thread, if you search you'll find lots of info. Looks fab once it's done

14N
Lots have done it, myself included (were the first things I ever painted). No special paints or lacquer needed, but use plastic primer as it's a primer, specifically for for plastics
