alexwitham
Guys, As much as I would like the big daddy of all discs (for obvious reasons), I cannot justify spanking top dollar at the moment. I'm going to be buying DS2500 pads and am considering pairing them with Black Diamond G6 discs (6 groove design). Any feedback/reviews on these discs? Have you used them on track? Thanks
RobPhoboS
Type or c&p this into google: site:350z-uk.com Black Diamond
ilogikal1
I currently have that very combination. Very good for road use I find but I've not been on track with it.
Ewen@Clark Motorsport
Plenty of people using the DBA T2 disc which is similar in price to the Black Diamond. These are fine for a bit of track use and will work well with the DS2500. If you are serious with your trackdays then the heat treated T3 is what would recommend and again what a lot are using. Drop me a PM if I can help further
alexwitham
Looking at Demontweeks website (appears they have a sale on brakes) the black diamond G6 discs front and back are £264, I can't find the T2 discs for a similar price to this. PM sent
coldel
I thought DBA were more expensive by some distance, thats why I bought BD a few years back instead of DBA - absolutely fine on the road no problems at all.
MITZ@CougarStore
As per the PM, the 6G are a road only disc and not suitable for track.
hawker1986
There seem to be some reports of black diamond discs warping with time. Before our old zed bit the biscuit I thought ours were going that way too. When the new Zeds need replacing I'll be going DBA T2. Ed
Tay
I flippin hope not. I've just fitted the 12 groove discs front and back! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
hawker1986
TBH it as just something that id read about a faint judder when braking which started happening after a few years. Not something I was concerned about at the time (or now), they stopped very well, noticeably better than the OEMs. I have no regrets over buying them just having my time again id go with the more expensive option. I was never unhappy with them. Edited March 11, 2015 by hawker1986
coldel
Miles better than OEM, ran mine for 6 months before I sold the car and worked very well, more than enough capability for my driving style (ie not that fast)
