Grundy
Can anyone recommend a garage, possibly near to Petersfield for a Full Geo setup / Wheel Alignment. Just had ARBS, Adjustable Drop links, Adjustable Camber arms and Coilovers installed. Would like a garage to basically double check it all over and align it all properly. I know Abbey can, they're a bit far from me, but i have dropped them a PM and I am awaiting a response. But figured I'd see if there is anyone else that can do this. Also a rough figure on what a Geo/Alignment usually costs would be great as right now I have no idea I.e. £50 - £500 The cost could be anything in my head right now
Ekona
Cost will depend on what needs adjusting, but lets assume everything. I would budget for £120, personally. Or £100 +VAT, if you prefer. Generic garages will probably be half that at least, but may not be able to give you the setup you want.

370Ad
I pay £78 for the car to be up on the ramps for an hour. The guy is Hunter qualified and gets the car exactly spot on. This is very important with the Z. It needs to be perfectly balanced all round and not just within tolerances.
RobPhoboS
It's not tooo far off but I used to go to JD modified - but I'll state right now, I've not been for about 3 years or so (used to be MR2 specialists), and I don't know the guys that work there, just James the owner: http://www.jdmodified.com/index.shtml Worth a call at the very least. Also glrnet recommended TGM Sport: http://www.tgmsport.co.uk/ http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/95568-reputable-service-near-staines/#entry1442940
jimboy2
Have a word with Denmead tires. Had my alignment done a few years ago with them and they were great. Sure they use Hunter too.
glrnet
This might help, at least it'll give you some other options http://www.alignmycar.co.uk/?gclid=Cj0KEQjwifWnBRCB5PT57KSVw-kBEiQASV7aRCyQgQLiuI0Z7UJgupXymSWOidNZnxqH9AKePE7X9zgaAv7C8P8HAQ

mouthwash
I think what Grundy wants is for someone to adjust everything, not just within the manufacturers spec but a bit more aggressive for his wheel set up and track adventures. Which I'm guessing requires a bit more expertise than the average garage, someone like Kaizer etc?
RobPhoboS
WIM are also very good (I took my old MR2 over to them after installing BC's on it): http://www.wheels-inmotion.co.uk Ex thread (Tony is the main guy there btw): http://www.wheels-inmotion.co.uk/forum/index.php?showtopic=3480 Edited March 9, 2015 by RobPhoboS
Ekona
A +1 for WiM too, very good chaps. Also, owning a Hunter machine means zero, squat, zip. A competant bloke with string can give better results than generic garage guy with a Hunter machine.
370Ad
I get what you mean by saying it's important with all cars but the Z does seem to be a special case that's needs a bit more TLC. Could be all RWD cars though to be fair as I have only owned the 50 and 70.
Ekona
It's all cars. Most people are perfectly happy with how cars come from the factory, on a default 'safe' setup. Plenty of toe in at the front, just a hint of neg camber all round, but nothing that will cause a car to be unstable or give excessive tyre wear. As enthusiasts who have more knowledge and skill (allegedly!) than Joe Bloggs, we want more from our cars. We want our sports cars to handle like sports cars, as since we sacrificed things like boot space, comfort and fuel economy in search of a more thrilling drive, we might as well get the most out of that. Applies as much to someone driving a Corsa VXR as it does someone with a GT3. Every fun car deserves a decent geo set to the specs of the driver, not just a generic 'fast road' or OEM setup.
