zebedy
Carried out her first oil change yesterday from ownership and have to say it was dead easy and took literally 10 mins to do. Must add that the oil filter location could not be in a better place. So got my liquid gold from Opie, sump plug from Tarmac Sports which was too big(?????) , (ill come to that in a bit) and a k and n oil filter from flee bay. [/url As you can see access from the front a doddle. Just jack the car up. Even a fat dude like me can get to it lol Access to to filter really good. Drop the oil and screw off the filter. Either hammer a Phillips crew driver through the filter and turn or in my case take a good grip with a rag and twist. The k and n filter has an inbuilt nut to enable you to tighten with a spanner. The magnetic sump plug was an M12. Mine is slightly smaller m10 maybe?? Which leaves me confused as I did order a 350 one from Tarmac. My only thoughts is that after 2005 they were bigger?? Maybe someone can shine some light on this for me. Anyway old plug and new washer was used for now. As you can see it was well overdue. It literally is a ten min job after running the car for 15mins somewhere to warm up the oil to make it thinner so that its easier to drop. Tomorrow....spark plugs. Happy days. zebedy
Heres what I mean regards to the plug ?????? Maybe Tarmac can get back to me?
350 Russ
in sure he will sort you out with a proper fitting one. just a shame that you will have to wait until next oil change to fit it. In regards to your plugs it will defiantly help getting a magnetic plug socket, also a 10" extension bar will probably be needed. Its not a hard job just keep your eyes peeled for oil in the plug tubes.
