Hofner
The leather seats should be regularly coated with a leather wax like saddle soap. Never use car wax. Hi, have copied above sentence from 2003 nissan 350 owners manual, from many posts i have read they say just use soap and water / leather has a coating. Has any used such a product? Was thinking of using meguiars leather conditioner, Cheers

ilogikal1
Conditioner is neither needed nor good for modern (read coated) leather. Aside from being a waste of time, money and product, a conditioner will simply sit on top of the top coat on the leather and attract dirt and grime. Leather wax/coatings (of the nano variety) are different to leather conditioners, as are leather cleaners obviously. Conditioners simply aren't needed for the OEM leather. If you want to add another layer of protection to the leather once it's clean though, I'd recommend Gyeon Leather or Dr Beasley's Leather Lock. For cleaning Gliptone is good, Dr Leather wipes are great (and handier IMO) for maintenance cleans.
Hofner
Thanks for info, is saddle soap nano variety?
ilogikal1
Saddle soap is as old school as a 2003 manual it's a wax as much as anything, nano sealants are much newer tech like the Gyeon & Dr Beasley's - and much more durable.
