Macnore
Hello forum, Had my JDM auto 350z for about a year now, still all the jap radio and sat nav installed, when I first got the car purchase a radio band expander, thinking of having a go fitting it. Don't want to break any of the trim trying to get the radio out to get to back of the existing radio. Can any one advise how the trim comes apart and if the band expander is worth installing. Only was £10 from fleabay, so not expecting much from it to be honest. Only so much Radio 2 you can take. Radio and CD player works perfectly so would like to keep it as original without replacing it. Any advice or guidance appreciated.
Jetpilot
A google search will put you in the right place for centre consul removal with step by step guide including photos. Radio band expanders are fine and will do the job, pretty sure from memory you need a positive supply to them so you will need to do some simple wiring too. Piranha
I have a Jdm and was going to go the expander route. However after fitting the grounding kit I got from Hdev I found 3 extra radio stations and the static / crackle disappeared 😃
