KurtB
Afternoon all, I've got some light scratching on the windscreen, anyone know of any good tips on ways to remove them? They are very slight, if they were on paintwork you could easily polish them out sort-of-deep. Rest of the windscreen is fine, no chips or cracks so would rather not replace it. It's not a major issue, just something i would like to sort out if easily done! Thanks
ioneabee
I've used cerum oxide powder with a little water with a rotary DA
ilogikal1
As above, any Cerium Oxide based polish with rayon pads and a machine polisher - rotary is easier, DA is possible but more work. Don't even attempt it by hand though. Be aware, especially on the windscreen, that heat build up can warp the glass and affect your view. JetSet
I've had success on various lenses , watch faces using Jewellers Rouge, which is very fine Ferric Oxide. Not used it on a windscreen but don't see any reason why it shouldn't work Pete Edited March 2, 2015 by JetSet
