adam_350z
Hello all. Got my 350z the week before christmas, so had it for a couple of months now and loving it! Spec when i got it was; 2003 53', GT Pack, Nav, Black leather, Sunset orange, Rays Wheels and about 66k on the clock. Also has a japspeed k1... which is noisy! Few pics below from when i got it, Then managed to pick up these wheels until i got the Rays wheels refurbished, actually quite like them, came with nearly new conti sport contacts as well! Front pads and discs were looking a bit worn and had been an advisory for the pads in its previous MOT, so decided to go for some new discs and pads all round. Guy i bought the car from gave the some front Red Stuff pads, from reading the forum i would have went with yellow but decided just to get some red stuff rear as well. Matched up to EBC ultimax discs. Final few mods so far are some Bosch aero wipers and also decided to refurbish the headlights with the DA polisher. Before; Dats all folks. What to do next Edited October 8, 2016 by adam_350z
GMballistic
Looking good and polishing the headlights makes such a good difference. Enjoy it.

PPod
Looks great. Really need to get a polisher for the lights cause the tooth paste trick only gets you so far haha
adam_350z
Story of the last few weeks is I've been wasting a lot of tine refurbishing the Rays that the car came with. They were in a bit of a state as seen below After a good few evenings, a lot of sandpaper and high build primer they were finally primered and ready to paint. 3 of the wheels were fairly straight forward, however the bad one pictured above was an absolute bastard to get right. Looked at a tonne of colours and finally decided on a similar look to these wheels; Decided on the colour below, quick test on gran turismo and i was off to waste more money at halfrauds Really happy with how they came out. Now just to get them fitted Disclaimer: it really is worth paying for wheels to be done professionally. These took ages!... plus 100 quid worth of paint Edited April 24, 2015 by adam_350z
Svothe
Wheels look great I've just done the same thing with my ginger ninja come out well considering halfrauds paints. Look forward to seeing more work. Also needs more stubby 😂

adam_350z
All fitted! Japspeed was a bit of an arse to get iff. The two bolts at the Y Pipe flange were rounded, and one was a normal thread nut janmed onto the fine thread captive bolt. Ever tried to source two m10 fine thread nuts over a weekend? So much more quiet than the japspeed! Sound is 10x more refined, more like the type of exhaust you would get oem on a porsche for e.g, louder than oem but not too loud. I do miss the roar of the k1 as you start the car though!
scobie140
Nice ðŸ‘, feel your pain getting the bolts! Why not a standard size!!

terry06
Good job on the alloys, love the colour. I feel your pain though as I am currently refurbing a set for my daily. Prep is taking aaaages and they're only 15's!

adam_350z
So a few updates... First time giving the 350 the works since I got it. It got; Clayed with Meguiars clay bar Polished with Menzerna 2500 and 4500 polishes, with green and white Lake Country pads respectively. Finished with Dodo Juice orange crush. Turned out pretty good i'd say, almost full correction. Edited September 27, 2015 by adam_350z
adam_350z
25mm spacers at the rear, 20mm at the front courtesy of PPod. Think the rears could have done with 30mm but it looks great none the less!
