Davectr
If I disconnect the battery for a few weeks will it throw up any errors when I reconnect it? I'm thinking of having the steering wheel re-trimmed but I'm wary of having battery off for so long
ZMANALEX
Having the battery disconnected should not throw up any codes, however remember and lock your steering if you are removing the steering wheel.

Davectr
Aaargh! Took the outer security screw out, went to do the inside one (nearest to the stereo) and it started to round off with hardly any force on it. Any suggestions other than drilling it out? Ebized
Impact driver if there is room - will kill the screw head completely but might at least get it out.

Use the proper fitting tools in the first place. Now you will have to try a slightly larger size, give it a slight tap with a hammer so that it is good tight fit and bobs your uncle.
