Bobby D
Sorry if this is a silly question but how do the restrictors work?? I know with the up rev they can be taken off but was just wondering how does it actually work and also will applying mods which give slight power gains whilst restricted play around with the ECU and the way the car works? Asking out of interest really! Thanks
brillomaster
do you mean the speed restrictor? don't think theres any other restrictions applied to a zed... I strongly suspect its simply based on roadspeed - when limit is reached, it cuts fuel.

RobPhoboS
In regards to the ECU: http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/92887-before-before-after-dynos-abbey/page__st__40#entry1399098
Tricky-Ricky
Speed restriction is programed into the ECU and is communicated from speed sensor to speedo and ECU via CAN bus so the restriction either has to be modified by reprogramming ECU or fitting a CAN based de limiter into the CAN bus circuit, its not a simple case of cutting a wire or fitting a cheap delimiter, the CAN based delimiters are over £150, so probably cheaper to wait and have a remap.
