fellsteruk
So I'm after some advice as im totally confused... I'm going to be replacing both the discs and pads on my 54 plate zed with this years service in a few weeks and it looks like the stock ones are still on and given its only done 40k "ish" miles I guess that's expected. Anyway, what's a good decent replacement as I don't really want to go with stock ones and like the black drilled discs but don't know which ones. All advice welcome! Stutopia
I've been looking at discs for a while becuase the 'hats' on mine are corroded. I bookmarked these for when the time comes: http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/88812-special-package-price-dba-t2-discs-and-hawk-pad/ and also these rather nice looking black ones: http://cougarstore.co.uk/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=1_7_3&products_id=115&zenid=02079adaf5ea052dd3f22626e4ab8f87 There was also some chat on here about discs too: http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/69165-decent-discs-and-pads-not-too-much-money/page__st__20 Edited February 14, 2015 by SuperStu
GMballistic
On my S/c Zed I have EBC turbo groove front discs with Ferodo DS2500 pads, Goodridge braided brake lines and Motul RBF600 brake fluid. EBC discs: http://www.h-dev.co.uk/product_info.php?cPath=78_169_293_463_465_1414&products_id=20370 Ferodo DS2500 pads: http://www.h-dev.co.uk/product_info.php?cPath=78_169_293_463_465_1414&products_id=25421 Motul RBF600 fluid: http://www.h-dev.co.uk/product_info.php?cPath=78_169_293_463_466&products_id=25423 This set up works well imo for fast road use and won't break the bank. Ewen@Clark Motorsport
The DBA T2 discs and Hawk pads are very popular for fast road use and also look great http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/88812-special-package-price-dba-t2-discs-and-hawk-pad/
RobPhoboS
Definitely Motul RBF600 fluid, and I opted for EBC Discs, and their Yellow Stuff pads (bit dusty) but zero fade & have Hosetechnik brakes & clutch line. In the future, I'll change the discs to ones which don't have that horrible bit of corrosion on the surfaces. Don't forget to bed the new discs/pads ! http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/18649-how-to-proper-brake-in-procedure/
