Kaveney
Ok I have a fail on most Emissions ( see below ) The car has Cobra HFC and I have told the MOT place they need to be very hot . After talking to them they said they warmed them up and did give it 3 goes but it still failed . thought HFC were fine to pass a MOT or is this not true ? Any help would be great . Grundy
How old are they? I raise your 'How old are they?' with a 'What mileage have you done with these on?'
Kaveney
less than 2000 miles
Ekona
They really should be passing, if I'm honest. Your lambda is fractionally low as well, which is odd.
Kaveney
The engine light came on after a few weeks of them being fitted so Abbey did something with the Uprev I think .
Ekona
Okay, any more details? What was the engine light? Do you have O2 sensor extenders fitted?
Kaveney
Just a engine light (not a flashing one) no O2 sensor fitted but I think the Cobra ones come with extenders as std .
Ekona
But what was the code? Was it for low efficiency catalyst, or was it for something else? What did Abbey do when you took it back to them?
Kaveney
P1273 . I think they tweeed the map on the Uprev . I have a friend that has said I can swap and use his std cats so im thinking this will sort it this time but thought HFC would pass
