Trig
I here you had a run in with a mate of mine up come the other week? The blue Mk2 escort 4 door. Lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
TT350
This is the kinda stuff you dream of and talk about when pi**ed up with mates saying "yeah! We'll rent a unit and spend all our wages on building a track car and we'll be famous and head hunted by rally and touring car manufacturers!" Then years go by and you don't do any of it. Only you are!! Nice one!
GT4 Zed
So jealous at all this skills and build in general so far A++++++!
Trig
Ah cheers guys your too kind. It's not on the same level or standard as rally or touring cars but I'm pretty happy with the ways it's turning out just taking 2/3 time longer than I planned. GMballistic
I here you had a run in with a mate of mine up come the other week? The blue Mk2 escort 4 door. Lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Ah freddy? Not really a run in though. He was trying to drift his Mk2 around in the corners which we were told not to do in the driver briefing prior to going on track so basically he was breaking the rules that were there to protect all track users. My video: His video: His driving was not as bad as others there that day though as at least he had some aptitude. The standard of driving on that action day from some drivers was ridiculous with people openly flouting the "no overtaking" in corners rule & bullying less experienced or slower vehicles out of the way in dangerous ways. "Track days/action days" are not set up for racing, lap times, wanna be drifters or show off's, ....they are set up for people to use the track as a safe environment to drive their cars faster than it is legal to do so on the roads without risking injury to innocent members of the public or falling foul of speed limits/cameras.
Trig
Hence why I don't do the action days up there the standard of driving from most people is terrible and they let too many cars on track which only compounds the problem with driving standards. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Yep totally agree. Doubt I'll be doing an action day again. Probably stump up the higher price for a proper track day next time, ...more expensive but at least it's not 30+ cars on track at once and will be better run. jjt
People like that are what puts me off doing them now. The video of him 'drifting' straight into a tyre wall sums it up really!
Trig
Lots of finishing of bits bobs this week front suspension back in ARB brackets made steering modded for the wide track and extra lock. terry06
I saw a green Mk1 Escort estate yesterday and it instantly reminded of this build. Just caught up with the progress and it's looking great. Cant wait to see the finished result of all your hard work in action on track

Trig
And to bring you up to date. While I've not been doing much on the car thought I would get it blasted save me a week or so stripping the old paint off. And bit of panel work has been done that's about it. I and Classic Ford finally pined me down and come did the mag feature. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Trig
Just made some brackets up and cut a bit of alloy to see what the new rear floor fits like. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Trig
Have to make a new rear panels and cut out the last bit of the frame bracing before I finalise the fitment. Also some more bracing to go it which will double up as fuel cell mount. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
