Trig
Bit of a lull in action this week but did a track day Friday that gave me a kick in the ass to get on so late Saturday night and Sunday morning I got the body mounts done so chassis and body are now as one Now I can start on the cage/frame. Rear mounts. Front mounts. (Not finished will be boxed in with steel too). And off the jig for the first time. Trig
Anybody know what import tax I would have to pay on this? Is it just VAT??? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Trig
Fook it bought them now let's wait see what I get stung for duties and vat. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
GMballistic
Hope they don't cost you too much extra on the duties/VAT. I assume they're from the USA then Trig, ...next time maybe best to ask Adrian (TORQEN) or Chris (Tarmac Sportz) as both of them regularly deal with importing & buying from the USA. Trig
Ah cheers mate. The headers just turns up no extras. They had unpacked them to check too. But then again these are a lot more than the headers. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
GT4 Zed
Very brave on going with ITBs👠There are a few threads on my350z.com but basically in the long run the jenvey ITB kit is recommended as though twice the price it's well thought out and complete as it would appear the OBX are a cheap copy for a reason and the kit is also incomplete. However, with your mad skills I'm sure you could sort these issues out. What tuning solution do you have in mind? I would recommend heat wrapping those headers. I'm glad I did mine. Also use OEM gaskets if you can. They are way superior. I think I have an unused set you can have under full cost price. Trig
I've only heard good things about the OBX stuff which is why I went for it. A mate of mine is running them on a Lexus V8 and he said they were great. As for being incomplete I hope not I was told all I would need is the injectors from the engine and throttle cables. I was going to get some proper Nissan gaskets too so if you have them let me know please. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk I've lost count of how many times I've bought things after going 'F██k it!' It's an expensive decision making process, but I rarely regret it somehow! Trig
Yeah mate it had to be done really. Spoke to a mate about emerald ECU too he said he get me a good deal on one so I'll be doing that too so the thing will be fully RR/live mapped to get the best out of the engine. Also there new ECU's have a dash switch for three levels of mapping. Last night I set out the rear struts as today my mate is coming up with his tube bender so we can make the cage. Trig
Just pulled some of the ugly off the engine and tried on the headers. They was tight on the studs but a little fettling will sort that at least I know they will face for word now. Also few bits I don't need for sell Standard headers Inlet complete with spacer. A/C pump PAS pump and alternator. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Edited April 6, 2015 by Trig
GMballistic
Hi Trig, some great progress but just wondering why you wanted the exhaust manifolds to face forward? Are you having the exhaust pipes exiting at the front then or am I missing something?
Trig
If you look back at the engine trial fitment the engine will be behind the Xmember so the headers stick in the bulk head. Hence turning them round so I can fit a large box I front the engine with Xover pipes then exit in front or behind front wheels.
