Ceejay29
Any advice of what torque wrench to go for (preferably less than £100 so not Snap-on). Main use will be for wheel nuts. Presumably second hand could be risky due to inaccurate calibration? Thanks

GMballistic
I have a Halfords Professional torque wrench which imo is a very good tool. Can't remember the range I have but here are two examples, both well under £100. Keyser
Another +1 on Halfords - came out as best and most accurate in it's price range from the reviews I read a while back - I use one Edited January 30, 2015 by Keyser

Ceejay29
Thanks for the input guys, bought a breaking bar from Halfords, also have their professional socket set which is good and nearly bought their torque but was convinced not to by my snobby old man who only buys Snap-on. Presume Norbar is a happy medium between halfords and snap-on? Will have a think
rothers2901
I bought this. More than adiquate for DIY and occasional use. Compared this against my son in laws Snap On and came out with the same tensioning characteristics http://www.google.co.uk/imgres?imgurl=http://imagehost.vendio.com/a/28304091/aview/sealey_ak224_torque_wrench.jpg&imgrefurl=http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SEALEY-1-2-Sq-Drive-Micrometer-Reversible-Ratchet-Torque-Wrench-27-204Nm-AK224-/390614708629&h=807&w=907&tbnid=nOnz4OL2vC0w0M:&zoom=1&docid=JnezrMlPijPXpM&ei=EzXNVMa5EcO57gb30oHAAw&tbm=isch&ved=0CC0QMygMMAw
JoKeR
I didn't think there was much in it with the calibration. I got one for about £30 from ScrewFix always use it to do my lug nuts That's what she 'Zed' :-/
Flex
How long they good for in terms of calibration? Does anyone know what the score is,I mean do they go off after a certain amount of time or would it be such a small deterioration that it for Joe P, it wouldn't matter. Also why can't I sleep tonight?
