ZedsDeadBabyZedsDead Posted January 30, 2015 Share Posted January 30, 2015 I've been reading through various posts about Hr clutch/pedal/ SLave cylinder operation and life spane and I'm just after some clairifcation on things, as I am going to look at a HR. Is there a definitive way of checking for parts failing? I have read that the fluid can change colour and get debris floating in it, is this a definate sign? Rock_Steady Posted January 30, 2015 Share Posted January 30, 2015 (edited) if the slave has gone then the rubbers that are on it will have perished and be in the mix of the liquid. Perished rubbers = the pedal not returning or, the throw of the clutch peddle will get lower and lower thus so will the bite. Best thing to do is to take it for a test drive and see what happens. You'll know after about 15 minutes of driving, the peddle response/bite will get lower and lower and.....
