Not a bad idea, that. Anyone handy with the stuff and lives near me?

Mask up, spray on a few thin layers... literally that simple. I am talentless and completely lacking patience and even I didn't manage to screw it up too much. You can even peel it off if you don't like it and start again.

Not seen my car look like that for ages... or that clean.. :(

Edit: One can. Done.

Just plastidip the body coloured one whilst you're at it!

You mean the splitter I linked to?

Nah. I meant the washer jet nozzle that's body coloured. You could plastidip that to match up.

The eBay splitter was good, I just didn't like the black wrapping round the edge of the bumper, but that's just me. I generally prefer colour coded aero over black , except where there's a natural break in the bodywork. Like the inside of the "mouth" in your pic. Basically as per the crap photoshop below, left hand pic.

One thing I've always hated about the Bummer is the steering wheel. The leather is rock hard, no give, and it's just too thin. A quick chat with Si at Hide n Seat and we came up with a plan and a cost that was more than acceptable to me. I wanted something subtle rather than lairy, and quality was of the utmost importance.

In the end I went from this:

To this:

Full retrim in smooth Nappa leather, black stitching all round, and a TDC line in perforated leather. Normally you'd go for a colour for that line, but in my old car it was marked out with just a pressing in the leather and I really liked it, so wanted something similar but that would stand out a fraction more.

I also asked Si to fatten the wheel up as well, and he's given me the perfect diameter to it, about 5mm more than I had which makes a huge difference. I'm absolutely delighted with it, the quality is every bit as good as I hoped for, and it's improved the feedback through the steering as well. The steering wheel is the one thing you always have contact with in the car (well, and the seat) and it's so important to get it right. Now it is, and massive thanks to Si for the quick turnaround on this too, highly recommended :)

Oh yeah, and I pinched the bits from an M wheel as well, the plastics were in better condition than mine and the colour is smarter too. Just means I have another bloody M badge on the car :(
