Where do you lot buy your fuel dampers from? (exl. dealer)

Hi all,

I've self-diagnosed the fuel damper as failing on my beloved 350. (ticking on idle, ticking stops once car is turned off/restarted (?)

However, where do you suggest sourcing one from? Nissan want ~£175 and all of the decent other sources seem to be from the USA, eg:

£41 here (+ £20 shipping):

Or £55 odd on eBay, plus £25 or so shipping/import charges.

Has anyone had any luck with something similar to the above? Or should I just play it safe and get one from Nissan?

Also, is there a risk of the damper causing any damage/suffering total failure? Or is it (at worst) just going to keep ticking as even the Nissan dealer says they don't stock them and it'll take a week or so to get one sent from Amsterdam.

Many thanks in advance!

Try Clark Motosport on here, they should be able to get hold of them.

Brilliant thanks, I'll PM them now!

How easy is it to change the fuel damper. Mines is a little bit noisy but nothing extreme. If its easy then I might just go ahead and change it

Yeah likewise, I figured if it's going to need replacing eventually I may as well do it now. From what I've read/seen it's actually a fairly easy DIY.

EDIT: If anyone comes across this thread as a result of a search, I'll post this up in case it helps - The damper is highlighted in red It's probably worth getting that O-ring next to it as well:

I would say any in line fuel damper intended for a similar system pressure would work, I think the main problem is because Nissan created an economy system by not having a return circuit, OK a lot of return systems also run a damper but the FPR seems to remove most of the noise from them, whereas the damper gets all the feedback pulses from both the pump and the injectors, so no wonder it gets noisy.
