BJRz
Hello everyone, Just in need of a bit of advice really... I've recently purchased some H&R spacers from forum member - 20mm & 25mm... the 25mm spacers on the rear fit fine... the wheels don't, but thats another story!! However this is what the fronts look like... I know the photos aren't brilliant and correct me if i'm wrong but arent the spacers, hub and the wheel all supposed to sit flush?? Basically the bolts from the hub are too long for the spacer and they come out the other side and hit the back of the wheel. will a pair of these in between the spacer and the wheel fix this? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/5mm-ALLOY-WHEEL-SPACERS-SHIMS-SPACER-UNIVERSAL-4-AND-5-STUD-FIT-/271073295602?pt=UK_Cars_Parts_Vehicles_Wheels_tyre_Trims_Trims_ET&hash=item3f1d3a3cf2 Thanks in advance! Grundy
No don't get any more spacers. What wheels are you running, I'm guessing not rays. You can either sheer off the hub bolts like I did, or ( I found out this weekend, don't know if you can on the zed) But thread the hub bolts further into the hub. The spacers aren't incorrect, it's the wheel design.
StevoD
im going to guess the aftermarket wheels dont have deep enough recess for the threads to go into three choices; bigger spacers (maybe switch the 25mm to front and 20 rears, if your rears are poking to much other choice is new wheels Or just dont run spacers What width and offset are the wheel fitted? Rock_Steady
Well, whatever it is, you know that's not right
BJRz
Thanks for the replies I've just bought a set of used Rota D2's - 18 x 9, ET22 on the front & 18 x 10 ET 15 at the rear The front's have 20mm spacers on (which are now 25mm due to the gap!) The rears have 25mm spacers which fit perfectly. I may have to take Grundy's advice and sheer off 5mm on the front so currently ET-3 on the front and ET-10 on the rear is believe? Alignment isn't sorted yet although I will be running a bit of camber. There is no recess on the back of the wheel at all... they're completely flat. I know I might have to ditch the spacers or swap them out for some smaller ones.. but I quite like how she sits at the moment The rear arches are rubbing a lot at the moment so that's something i'm currently trying to sort out! Here are a few pictures: Not 100% on gold wheels on a GM 350z, so that may change. Although they are growing on me! Yes she hasn't had a wash in a while and it won't be to everyone's taste... Feedback welcome!!
StevoD
try putting the 25mm on the front and 20mm on the rear
pjf1985
Nice wheels, the gold looks good IMO. Did you buy off them off a guy named Paul?
BJRz
try putting the 25mm on the front and 20mm on the rear Yeah I think I may have to give that a go as it may sort out my clearance issue on the rear arches. although I think I'll still have the same issues with the gap between the spacers and the hub

Thanks mate Yeah initially I wasn't a fan of the gold and didn't think it'd look that good, although now they're on the car I don't think they look too bad! hahaha well lets just say I'm not very popular with the neighbours... It does sound amazing though, once the weather clears up and i've sorted the fitment on the wheels i'll try and get some videos up
