S14DST
Hello everyone, I'm new to Z cars! I own 03 Z33 for about 4 months now and the last issue that my Z has is that I can't open my rear hatch! And yes I tried to pull that little thing under Z sign in boot, but it's absolutely stuck and won't help! The button above number plate works, as it makes a clicking sound, but the hatch won't open! Is there any way I could try and open it without sawing off the latch? (I might be spelling a bit wrong but I hope you all understand what I mean) Tried too google about this, but it seems that everyone can open with the thingy in the boot manually, but in my case unfortunetaly it's stuc too :/
richard.hezlett
I'm I right in assuming that you have tried lifting the hatch at the same time as pushing the button above the rear number plate?
S14DST
Yes I have Maybe it is possible to remove some plastic trim to access the bolts or at least see what's up with the mechanism? Or maybe there is some other way to open it? It's actually very annoying as this is my daily driver :/
marzman
Get inside and put some weight into pushing it open, whilst pulling the lever under the strut and having someone on the outside too?
Keyser
Only thing I can suggest is you get a mate to push down on the boot - then pull the cable release then with it still pulled get ya mate to try lifting it. Might help take the pressure off the catch
ZMANALEX
As above, should open with the cable. Good luck.
