jimboy2
My Mrs has a Mx5 2.5 It's having some weird starting issues. Sometimes it will start 1st time perfectly. And then others it just won't start. When it does start it drives perfectly, idles fine. The battery is brand new. We have tried both keys. Anyone any ideas or have you seen this issue before. http://youtu.be/YY_iS77_6W0

Dave@Deepcar Autobodies
Hey Buddy Have you had problems with water in the passenger footwell at all, its a common problem that water gets in and floods the footwell where the ecu is situated and can damage the wires going into the ecu, Easy to check, pull back the carpet and you will see a metal panel bolted with 3 or 4 10mm nuts, remove them and you will see the ecu, just check the wires going into it, possibly some of them may be corroded, you can sometimes just clean them up along with the connections and might be ok, if not you may have to source an electrician to check them out. Hope this helps, or at least something to cancel out Dave
Ekona
My guess would be an earthing issue, but Dave's probably more on the money here.
