Robuk
Hi Guys & Girls I know your probably going to groan and point me in the direction of the "search" function but I have tried without success... Can someone point me in the direction of a definitive comparison between JDM and UK Spec Cars? Thanks in advance Rob

Robuk
Thanks for the welcome... Really just Looking for the main differences I know from other cars that sometimes the differences are subtle such as headlight washers, fog lights etc... But then sometimes they are more significant like rusting etc Cheers
Vik54
to the forum There used to be a good guide to the JDM models on the old forum - I can't find it anymore (can't find any feckin thing anymore) - but the original 'guide' is still there http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/1648-the-differences-spec/

KyleR
no it isn't Clearly it is if you think a UK car is better than an import.

Macnore
Hello there, I currently have a 350 JDM import auto. 2003. Spec is as follows, Auto and semi auto box, amazingly smooth. For an 85kmiles car. Radio is still jap, only gets radio 2, got a band expander but not fitted it yet, just use the CD player. Does'nt have dead locking seemingly, but has central locking. Rear reversing camera screen located above the radio, very handy. Has nissan brakes, not brembo, work ok for shooting about, but don't think they would hold up on track. Has an immobilliser in the key, and managed to get a spare cut with a chip for £65, not central locking key, but ok for a spare. Has a cat 2 additional immobiliser also, think this was an insurance requirement as it was an import. Only think I have noticed is when ordering parts, just make sure parts are for a 350 fairlady, or JDM. Any parts I have ordered are readily available. I got mine for next to nothing, so I wouldn't be put off one, if you get a chance for one you can save a fair bit compared to a UK one. Insurance was supposed to be an issue, but I started a brand new policy, with no no claims to put down, and got it for just over £200. This is a second car to me insured for less that 5 k miles per annum. Hope this helps

Bobby D
I know my opinion doesn't really make much of difference as I'm also a fairly new 350 owner but I actually really love my early JDM haha
