Angrybiker Posted December 29, 2014 Posted December 29, 2014 Just tidied the engine bay up by fitting a new bolt kit but I'm still left with horrible rusty bolts on the strut brace. Had no luck on eBay. Any ideas? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Quote

Wasso Posted December 29, 2014 Posted December 29, 2014 You'll struggle for Strut Brace bolts unless you fork out for Titanium. Quote
Angrybiker Posted December 29, 2014 Author Posted December 29, 2014 I recon I'll just have to clean up my existing bolts then. Not spending 50 quid on 6 bolts and 2 nuts. Might even have a look down B&Q Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Quote
Darren-B Posted December 29, 2014 Posted December 29, 2014 Kays Fastenings, high quality stainless steel nuts & bolts of all sizes, M10 x 1.5 x 40mm if I remember rightly for the strut brace without a plenum spacer, add 6mm if you have a spacer Quote
Ceejay29 Posted December 29, 2014 Posted December 29, 2014 Initially I tried cleaning the OEM strut bolts; lasted a few days. Pro-bolt will have everything you require. Quote
14N Posted December 30, 2014 Posted December 30, 2014 (edited) M10 x 25-30mm should do ya. Note they're a fine pitch thread at 1.25 Edit: seem to be plenty on eBay and commonly used with Japanese motorcycles. Pack of 10 chrome washer based ones are £10. Shortest seems to be 40mm so you might need to cut a bit off. Edited December 30, 2014 by 14N Quote
Wasso Posted December 30, 2014 Posted December 30, 2014 Almost there Darren, 25mm for without a spacer and 30mm with a spacer. They must be flanged, also as Ian pointed out fine pitch. If anyone manages to get this combo in the UK shout me, as I get mine from Germany for the Spacer kit. Might be easier getting M10 1.25 25mm flanged in the UK but never tried as they would be useless for a spacer kit. Quote
Tarmac@TarmacSportz Posted December 30, 2014 Posted December 30, 2014 I have Blue or Red bolt sets in stock for £30 But it does all the bolts but the strut brace Quote
Angrybiker Posted December 30, 2014 Author Posted December 30, 2014 Yeah Tarmac it was yourself I bought a Bolt kit from, now the strut bolts stand out since they're old and rusty Thanks for the help with sizing guys, should make it easier to find now that I'm not searching for "350z strut bolts" Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Quote
Wasso Posted December 30, 2014 Posted December 30, 2014 Also, if you're looking at the ProBolt Aluminium Strut Bolts, just be warned they are not verified fit for purpose. Their strength is a great deal less than Steel or Titanium. I have the Aluminium bolts on my Strut Brace, but there will be a day they snap - although they have been good for 2+ years now. Quote
