Keyser
First off a huge hello to everyone that visited today, Harryjax, Jetpilot, Humpy and His good lady, Ash, Papa Smurf, Think that's everyone - it was a bit mad here Started early 9:45 (that's early for a Saturday this close to Christmas) HarryJax was already here to help so we layed out the carpet Pushed her in Then took stuff apart Until - Then we stripped some bits from the dead lump and put her back together, Grundy fell over Buster fell asleep And I have no idea what Harryjax did ? By 5:30 we were back to here - So we thought sod it lets get her running today and by 7:30 she was fired up - went first flick no issues I'll upload a before and after vid in a bit Extra special thanks to Dave for the massive assist - would not have got this far in a day without you mate - even if you did doze of once or twice Pics of the decimation in a mo Keyser and the Zed Shed crew (and HarryJax) Edited December 27, 2014 by Keyser
Keyser
I can't put it into words, slight knock does not quite cover it - Matt killed this one properly - here are the pics starting with what was in the undertray The bolt came out so hot it was melted into the tray The bottom end came out in bits - Good job Grundy We can strip it down tomorrow if we get time and see how bad the con rod it

Keyser
This is what the Zed sounded like before the swap To be fair given the amount of damage I amazed she even started First start up sounds better now Tomorrow we will finish putting her back together - bumper, under tray etc bleed the radiator quick test drive then she will be booked in for a new MOT

Harryjax
Had a great day at the Zed shed. Really enjoyed it. A day well spent learning from the masters. Really chuffed that Matt's new engine purred and his Zed will be back on the road soon. Chris guess what I forgot to pick up. Oops

Wasso
Looking at Grundy's "hardware" that's one way to put it! Yeah what was the smoke all about? I'd doubt oil on a manifold or something?
Keyser
The smoke and on fire comment were both caused by the new headers "burning" in nothing to worry about.

I thought it was Bob under the car smoking the joint Grundy kept rolling.
