Bodyboarder81
would the tuner kit be offerd under the same deal? This is the one I want also as I will be putting it into one of the tuners to install and tune ......
Bodyboarder81
I think from my understanding that the only difference from the tuner kit and turnkey one is with the turnkey you get a lead with the upreved license on it with a basic map from stillen so you can drive it to the tuner . Where as this is not be needed if it's getting installed at the tuner in the first place .......
Jp606
Oh God this is so tempting, the car is only a weekend toy now and it would be an awesome winter project fitting this. Must... Resist.. Is there no fitting issues with this kit on RHD cars? Edited December 14, 2014 by Jp606

Resist.. Is there no fitting issues with this kit on RHD cars? Pretty sure there's none as there's nothing to change at the rear of the engine bay ,where turbo applications that are designed for LHD come into problems with the steering parts ...... Could be making all that up though
Jp606
Intersting, I think once we get some full costs I'm going to have a serious look at this. To upgrade from the Z with something that has 450-500bhp whilst being as nice to drive and unique as the Z I'd have to spend a lot of money, it makes the potential ~£7k upgrade more worthwhile. This is my thinking ..... My 350 does everything I need it for .... The only thing I would add is more power and with 450bhp this ( in my mind anyway ) puts it in the same speed/ pace bracket as v8 r8 ..... Which I love but could not justify having sat on the drive 80% of the time . 7k though ........... Add 2k I reckon
Jp606
I'd be fitting myself, only taking to a garage to be tuned. Chris reckons a self build can be done for under ~£7k.

Tarmac@TarmacSportz
Lets have a look after xmas, usually you only tend to get a few serious people, if we can scratch to 5 then great, gives a bit of buying power, 1 or 2 not so great
Jp606
Is the price before GB discounts the same as the 370Z kit cost on your website?

PMX
So I'm not mechanically minded (I even had someone fit my spacers for me!) realistically what sort of cost am I ooking at for installation of this kit (start to finish including tuning)?? Who would I use for installation in the midlands?

nissanman312
I'm a definite Maybey I want to get and look at a kit fitted that has done a few mile first before I cement the deal I payed best part of 19 grand for my car and if I look after it in the best way I can I would hope it will be good to me for years to come. If I Can acheive this kit tuned right then it's a no brainer in my eyes the z would be awesome with that power I will definitely be going with the oil cooler and uprated sump as along with tuning I think keeping oil temps low is one of the main factors of keeping things reliable On the flip side the last thing I want to do is ruin a beautifull motor as I will never see the money back only in smiles Edited December 14, 2014 by nissanman312
PMX
Thanks Bodyboarder and Tarmac, I will have a chat with these guys to get some idea of costs, etc. So to work out overall cost, I am looking at cost of SC + oil cooler + fitting? My car is standard apart from spacers and Scorpion exhaust, will I need to add anything else to the list above? As my car is pretty much standard GT spec, will I be ok with current brakes, etc, or will I need to upgrade anything to cope with the extra power? (I won't be doing track days or anything like that) Sorry for all the questions......
Tarmac@TarmacSportz
To be honest you could probably do with upgrading the exhaust and adding decats and a decent set of pads and discs all round. Supercharger/Oil cooler/Tuning
Jp606
Are decats necessary? They sound terrible in my opinion. Edited December 14, 2014 by Jp606
Tarmac@TarmacSportz
A decent set of HFCs - like "Fast Intentions" would probably be ok. Superchargers do have a habit of blowing HFCs to pieces though
nissanman312
Are decats necessary? They sound terrible in my opinion. I belive they say the exaughSt volume goes up by around 30 percent I have the cobra on mine and didn't really want it much louder it sounds a treat now but I guess that's the ups and downs of messing with motors
Bodyboarder81
I dont think decats are completely necessary .... It's just you might not make the power you could with cats fitted. As said I think HFC just get blown out and made into decats pretty quick when charged ! Ill be going decat with mine but unsure if the scorpion will be to loud .... Time will tell ! nissanman312
I've been in a 370z with gtm kit it had a Miltek on it which are usally Farley quiet it wasn't that bad bit fairly loud To be fair I don't mind if mine gets a bit louder just hope it keeps it's quality sound
