ShadowFactory
I've bought myself some cold cathodes to go in the driver and passenger footwells. I have fitted cathodes in previous cars so I know how to fit them, but I'm having trouble trying to find a reasonably ok 12v source to tap in to that could handle an extra 800mA - I'd like to avoid vitals if possible, head lights etc. I'm ideally after something that's close to the dash area in the centre of the car. The only place I've found so far is the rear cigarette lighter (I don't have a passenger one in MY03 model), or the overhead dome light... both seem like a bit of a PITA. Anybody got any better ideas? Thanks
GIXXERUK
Don't use the interior light, it's connected to the bcm.. I wired in footwell LEDs and had no problem with the interior lights but I've read lots if horror stories about tapping into this
Tricky-Ricky
Just use a switch and fuse from the cig lighter, everything else is either a pain or l=tied into the CANbus.
ShadowFactory
I thought that would be the case, but I was hoping there might be something a bit more convenient. Cheers guys
