d0minator33
Hey guys so I've got a couple of problems the first and probably small 1 is my exhaust seems to of gotten much louder for no reason and I mean ear bleeding loud I suspect back box but I looked under and couldn't see a problem. The bigger problem Is my 6th gear frequently grinding as I goes in usually when I give it a bit of revs. Are these common issues? My car is 58 plate with 29k miles on it. thanks for the help in advance
martybhoy
I thought my 6th was grinding a little but I was being a bit fly when pressing the clutch
Lexx
Exhaust likely parted from the back box due to failed welds. You'll need to get right under the car to check. Grinding into gear could be synchromesh, although unusual at such low mileage.
comrade
Exhaust is either the joint between the back box and the middle pipe, or a flexi on the Y-pipe. You can it welded for £20-£30.

jimboy2
Don't look at them as problems, they are opportunities. NEW EXHAUST TIME! Or get it repaired which is the boring but cheaper route. Can't help on the 6th gear I'm afraid.
KyleR
Common problem in the gearboxes, rarer in the newer boxes like yours, especially at such low mileage. Double clutch into 6th or try Rev match and it'll be fine.
Jp606
My 6th sometimes does that, when it's a bit cold usually. Also a HR with fairly low miles.
