jamiepm
HI All, So looking for a new car, and on the top of my list is the 370z, loved the 350 but would really like to upgrade instead of just switching over, Little bit about me, IT developer from just outside London enjoy the odd day down the strip (note the want of more power) and tinkering with the car. So at the moment I drive a Honda S2000, brilliant car however it has been my daily for a while now, and it really is not that practical. The car is tastefully modified of course, but this does mean its is quite loud, and doesn't ride to well (pretty good at avoiding speed bumped routes now though). Why the z, well firstly its a more refined car, better interior options etc for daily use, as well as having more power than the s2k. Firstly is the dreaded question manual or auto, I would like to try both as I have heard the auto box in the 370 is sublime? Please no "manual all the way, no feel from an auto" etc, I am looking for a daily and would like the car to be quick and enjoyable, but also easy to use. Has anyone done this switch before on here who could give some good pointers, or just general pointers to look out for in the car (rust, seized bushes etc)? How many people do use there's as a daily, is it okay (mpg isn't a major concern at the moment I average something like 20, so any increase over that would be awesome)? Finally is the long shot question. The s2k scene has loads of meets up and down the UK, I'm guessing you guys have them as well. Before I buy a car i like to find out what its like from enthusiasts who aren't just trying to sell to me. So I'm looking for either a meet close to North London, or just someone near by willing to spend some time discussing the car. Cheers for reading, jamiepm
Grundy
Sorry bud, we hate socialising together. The last meet was back in 2005, when the 'fire incident' happened. Terrible atmos from this club.
Keyser
along Have a search on here plenty of members with the 370 and several have had 350's and/or s2000's before - I had a 350 and now have a 370 But can't really give you any good advice as I don't do standard SC 350 she does about 6mpg when pushed and 17mpg when driven slowly (i.e never) But 500 WHP SC 370 goes like a scolded cat MPG - no idea and don't care - not my daily but could be

Ignore Grundy - he is just upset after we poured sugar in his petrol tank at the last meet and his engine went BANG! Honestly no sense of humor some people

Will370z
Howdy and welcome. Use my roadster as a daily, cracking car. I'm based in guildford but there are quite a few of us down this way. If you fancy meeting up for a chat just shout, be careful though it could get expensive
GMballistic
Welcome aboard Jamie. Get some pictures up of the S2K if you can, ...love a bit of VTEC myself. Used to have an EP3 Type R myself and I know a few other owners on here have come from the Honda scene in one form or another.

O yes 440 RWHP As built by our very own DarrenB (I let him do this one for me it worked out cheaper than doing it myself ) he decided he wanted an older project so I was lucky enough to snap this up And to be fair to Darren she runs like a dream (well so far anyway ) Running the GTM kit stage 1.
Wayne370Z
Hi and welcome. Never had/drove the 350 so don`t know how the 370 compares (other than being loads better in every way, obviously ... ) but the 370 is awesome .... (apart from the £485 road tax of course - that`s not too awesome when it`s due ...... ) but I still love it. Bobbyheinz
I love my 370 - way nicer interior and just feels smoother than the 350. I'm sure you've read this, but the stock exhaust really is awful. Until I got my cobra on, I just couldn't fully enjoy the car because it sounded like a hair dryer.....
