But with the HR i think you can use all the revs, but it cuts off somthing...name escapes me at the mo lol and you have less power but runs safely.

It reduces the power by around 3% and also increases fuel consumption by a similar amount. However, if you have no choice but to put 95 RON in it (It happens when you live miles from a petrol station) you'll probably drive it in an engine saving defensive manner and actually get better MPG. Guess I've probably put £20 of 95 Ron in my DE 10 times or so, around 700-800 miles I suppose but I'm not concerned as I keep the revs down.

Same here. I'd never risk it and have always used Super Unleaded during my Zed ownership. ;)

I remember though when I collected my car commenting to the salesman at the garage that the fuel was a little low so out the guy came with a jerry can of fuel. No flippin' way it was Super Unleaded in the can so I took a very gentle drive back towards home (9 miles odd) as I knew you should only use Super ~ filled it up as soon as I spotted the first fuel station I came across.

Don't even want to think about what cr*p fuel previous owners may have put in it. Just have to hope they read the fuel filler flap or the manual at least. :surrender::)

I had similar when i bought mine, was having panic attacks as no petrol station near where i got it had super unleaded lol coasted to my local petrol station on fumes!

I personally always use tesco momentum. The shell garage near me always seems to be out of V power so have given up on it now

I live near silverstone track and the Shell garage always gets pumped dry of V-Power whenever theres a track day or a amateur event grrrrr

but id rather drive 18 miles to tesco to get 99ron than to put 95 in it, i know it wont blow my engine up if i put over 50p in it  but once i put in regular texaco fuel as i was desperate and that made my car feel like a
