Steel Lynx
Anyone know what brake fluid is in a GT-R as standard from the factory? Wondered if it's the same as a 370Z. Having a P2 done on Wednesday and don't think it will be delivered in time so thought I might ask if they'll stick GT-R stuff in if it's better. GT4 Zed
I don't think it will be different from the std Nissan stuff. What do you mean by better? Have you had problems with the OEM fluid? Even the GTR comes with mushy rubber brake lines as it's sold as a road car. The std DOT 4 fluid is adequate unless you plan heavy track use. Do you have braided lines? Uprated or race pads? If not you will never see the temps to boil you fluid. In anycase there is no reason you cannot order aftermarket racing brake fluid eg motul RBF 600/660from any of the traders here and it doesn't make it for Tuesday for a small fee. Have you also checked with ECP?
ZMANALEX
The R35 GT-R runs upgraded fluid from the factory, however I have found that Motul RBF 660 is superior. The GT-R oem lines get changed at every 60,000 miles or 5 years at the G2 service.
