zedproud
Been told today that my 55 zed needs a new battery, hopefully this will cure a problem with the engine idling rough and rev counter hunting up and down.I suppose that its a warranty item, does anyone know for sure?. redzed
My engine idled a bit rough when I bought the car brand new, it seems it is fairly common, but I cured mine with a grounding kit. Not sure that a battery can cause a rough idle can it?

Trev-the-Rev
Most batteries these days come with a 3 year warranty so you should be ok.
bronzee
How old is the battery in your Zed?
zedproud
Battery was only 2 years old and has been replaced free of charge. The original one had an internal fault that made it unable to hold its charge, the dealer told me this was affecting the supply to the injectors causing the rough idle.
