RafsZed
Why has Nissan stopped importing the 370Z into the Uk, I just checked Nissan.co.uk and it's not there. Does anyone know why? Whilst I'm here, is the 2015 370Z Nismo a much better car then the standard 370Z or is it more cosmetic.
spursmaddave
Poor sales most likely, and the Nismo is not just cosmetic but I will let one of the Nismo owners comment as I am not a fan
neo
http://www.nissan.co...ports-cars/370z still there, so guess they are still importing them.

Ebized
Might like to edit your first post to make it clear what you meant Rafs Oh, and moved your thread from the 350 sub-forum
spursmaddave
Been talked about on here a few times, the amount of convertible 370z's sold in the UK is very low and by very low I mean practically single figures...

RafsZed
Very good finance offers on the 2015 370Z Nismo, very tempting, I must take a look at one.

Will370z
Spoke to a nissan salesman about this in the summer when he told me uk wide nissan had only sold either 15 or 50 370 convertibles in the previous year, hence the cease on stock. He said, and I agree, that the issue is outside of places like this forum no one really knows the 370 exists. It is not advertised enough. Focus is either on the nissan mass production cars or the GTR, so it has no presence or identity in the market. People don't go looking for them in the showroom, most sales come from people who walk in for something else and go - oh what's that. And there are not enough in stock in the uk showrooms to have much impact. The roadster is a step further on the specialist scale so even fewer people want those. Less practical, harder ride, less space in the cabin. Big n/a thirsty cars are now a rare breed and dwindling fast. Still it means the roadster is a rarer sight on the road which puts a smile on my face

spursmaddave
I also think people who do want a convertible expect/want a tin top now not a rag top...

Someone had better tell Mazda this, new MX5 is rag top only. Probably due to cost, they have had a tin top option for 6 years or so at the other end of the scale you have say the XKR @ £80k thaf has a rag top... Although the 370 rag top was far better looking than the 350 it still has a massive rear and as already mentioned the aerial looks terrible. Certainly a very capable car, I have spent many miles in Rosie and following her too in my old Zed & in my Jag
The G Man
It's for weight reduction apparently, 100 kg lighter than the last model. 370 starts off heavy and doesn't gain much reduction from a rag top.

Yeah can understand that, still think a tin top 370 would look better though...
Ekona
The ND '5 will be available as a tintop in a year or two. Boxster and TT sell bucket loads with soft tops.
