lbeddowscbr
Sorry if this has been covered before. got a 54 plate with brembos and when i press the brakes i have to let off and press again as the brakes don't feel they have binded properly first bite. is this a common thing and is it worth buying some braided lines or do you think it could be something else? Ekona
When was the fluid last replaced? Could be old fluid, or air in the system.
ZMANALEX
As what Dan has said, Fluid has probably boiled or degenerated. New upgraded fluid and a good bleed to get ALL the air out. will fix your issues. Alex.
lbeddowscbr
Not sure to be honest. Had it since February and I've not done it. Is it worth buying braided lines as well while in changing the fluid?
lbeddowscbr
And while were on the subject, what brake fluid do people recommend
KyleR
Buy a litre of Motul 600 off eBay for about £16 and bleed the whole system. It is pretty common that you have to double tap the brakes to get the best from them, but it's how much of a difference that matters. If it's like night and day then get the fluid and sort it, but be sure to bleed them in the correct order which I think is NSR, OSF, OSR, NSF and always the inner bleed nipple first as there is 2 on each caliper.
