Jakeswheelbarrow
I can only compare it to the budget exhaust that I bought the car with. The milltek has a much deeper rumble on idle and low revs. Then sounds smoother and deeper through the the Rev band. I love the little pops it gives whilst dabbing the throttle It's definitly quieter than the cobra (my friend has one fitted to his 350 hr) but Im really enjoying it. pauljames90
Well that's great to hear, I just want something that can be usable everyday and on the motorway but still sounds nice, milltek sounds like the perfect choice

Good comments, exactly what I have found when I replaced the OEM exhaust with a Milltek. It's been nearly 2 years since it was fitted and it still sounds great, especially if you have a roadster!!
Jakeswheelbarrow
My friends are saying it will get a little bit louder after a month of usage, did you find that with yours?

Oli
I'm tempted by a milltek myself...when you say you had a big discount was that with a trader or just a 1 off you found? For that price it might be worth trying as can always swap it off. I'm looking for a standard like sound with just a bit more of an edge, and the milltek seems as though it could be a good choice. I got a good discount from Demon Tweeks.
Jakeswheelbarrow
Unfortunately the discount was only for me as it was a friend who got it for me. Just finished a 300 mile trip this weekend. Exhaust is now sounding perfect! Has got a little bit louder and is nice a bassy. Now pops on run down and revving (nothing beats a subtle over Rev whilst parking )
Jakeswheelbarrow
Only problem was I now have the flashing airbag light.... But hopefully will be a lose connector underneath the seat like other topics have suggested. This is the best forum I've ever been a part of! Jonny Z
Thread resurrection time. I am currently having the same dilemma, the Y pipe has failed on my Z (roadster) and was looking for a system anyway. I have been offered a Cobra (resonated) with y pipe for £700 and a Milltek for £800, wanted to keep the price down but also want a quality system, the car isn't used as a daily driver, more of a weekend toy so was looking at all options. There seems to be a bad report on the Japspeed K1 & K2 systems due to poor fitment but can't find any info on the K4 (HKS style) by anyone that has actually fitted one. Also looked at the ARK and invidia Gemini but to be honest I would prefer somthing UK based in case any warranty claims are required. I like the Milltek as I have used their systems before (on a subaru) and found the fit to be fantastic, The other advantage with it is it can also be supplied and fitted by my local performance store. I also know the cobra systems are good quality and it is cheaper. Not sure if I want to go for HFC's or decat in the future though, with the Milltek that is still an option. For a weekend toy, go for a non-resonated cobra, you will not be disappointed!! No drone at high speeds and amazing note when giving the car a good blast!
