It's the first mot with me for my Zed sooo...Just wondering if it's worth taking to Horsham developments which is not far from me for mot rather than a local place which might not know how to treat her!😱

Thanks folk😎

Mine is due on Thursday, so I'm taking it to Hi Tec Motors, just down the road from me.

Don't think you need to take it to a specialist, I just tell them not to use the rollers for a brake test.

Knew I'd read something on here about what not to do in a Zed mot just couldn't remember what it was! Thank you😎

I used my local but did do a familiarisation visit before hand - they even did a few jobs - oil change/spark plugs and grounding kit fitted - all materials supplied plus guides off the forum. No probs at all - they quite enjoyed having the car in

It's pretty much all computerized nowadays so anything vehicle specific flashes up on screen for the tester anyway (including the brake test), no need for a specialist to do an MOT.

Why is this?

Because of the LSD. It's well documented on the forum if you search for it.

Tried one of the council places near me once, on my return I was handed my rear number plate?? Apparently they couldn't open the boot so they thought the button might be behind the rear number plate so they pulled it off!!

But as said they have no incentive to fail your car so always a good option

Council MOT centers are a good alternative. They might not be the most knowledgeable about zeds, but they have exactly zero incentive to fail you because they don't do repairs.

Oh never heard of these! 😱 na council get enough of my dosh! My local chaps will do fine now I know what they mustn't do. Thanks tho😊

If you have an aftermarket exhaust a local garage that you know is often better. :)

Thanks it as far as I know it's OEM still sounds fab but plan to get something more interesting when it blows she's only done 29800 😎
